The Mary Baldwin family drew upon a "sense of community reaching beyond time and space," as MBU Chaplain Katherine Low said in her invocation, to celebrate graduates during the university's virtual Commencement ceremony starting at 10 a.m. on May 24. The traditional in-person ceremony was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "To each of our graduates, this day celebrates the challenges you have overcome, the victories you have already garnered, and joyously anticipates the contributions you will make," said MBU President Pamela Fox in a recorded video message.

On May 19, the MBU family bid farewell to 420 members of the Class of 2019 on Page Terrace during the university's 177th Commencement exercises. "To each of you this Commencement captures the challenges you have overcome," said MBU President Pamela R. Fox, in her welcome to graduates, families, and friends gathered on the MBU hillside. "Class of 2019, congratulations. This is your day."

Completion of the master of computer science through the Mary Baldwin University-University of Virginia cooperative program in engineering.
